BROKEPONY

BROKEPONY

BandAlternativeRock

The name of our band is Brokepony. We are four highschool friends from Elberta, Alabama who formed a band in the summer of 2010. Our music is often described as a mix of 70's psychedelic and 90's grunge. Song writing always begins by jamming and improvising. We're ready to bring back rock and roll.

Biography

Brokepony consists of four longtime friends Drew Rachel (vocals), Jeffrey Cain (guitar), Corey Parker (bass), and Travis Mulloy (drums). We all share musical interest and a passion for music. Our songs are mainly created by jamming and we also like to incorporate improvised jams into live shows. To us, this makes live shows more personal for both the fans and ourselves. The music being improvised is created by us but influenced by the crowd. If we had to choose our biggest influences, we'd probably have to say Soundgarden, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, The Doors, Alice In Chains, and Incubus. We feel that a majority of the music today is generic. It's very hard to detect any soul or passion in new songs on the radio. We are striving to change that by pouring everything we've got into our music. Brokepony will revive rock music.

Lyrics

Slip

Written By: Brokepony

Ooh, I think she finally slipped away.
She never cared that much for me.
I've come to find the things I lost.
I've come to be what I mistrust.
I've come to know that all has gone.
I've come to find the things I lost.
No more cold lows.

Frozen Solid

Written By: Brokepony

We had our time to mess around.
I'd break the lights to hear the sound.
I broke a sweat.
Sweat burns my eyes.
Might help me sleep on through the night.
I'm not a lie.
We had our time to mess around.
I'd break the lights to hear the sound.
Darkness aloud.
I can feel the wind blow as it wraps around my head.
Cold outside the window but I'd rather freeze to death.
I think I'm frozen solid.

The Deity

Written By: Brokepony

Ache, oh yes they ache for more excuses. And they break all that I made with their misuses. Wait and I'll amaze along the rivers. And they shake off all their pain for their salvation. And they pray, oh yes they pray for me to help them. But I have no shame in staying up here. And I'll make haste to lay to waste everything by me. You'll get a taste, oh yes a taste of power from me.
