Bio

Walking a fine line between basement party band, world music showcase and jazz quartet, the BROMANTICS have been making waves in New York City for over a year now, and with their self-titled album in progress, they are set to carry their delightful compositions and booty-shaking grooves to up-for-it audiences everywhere.

Chris Conly began writing music for this band long before moving to NYC in 2006. After working with long time co-conspirator, drumemr David Andrew Moore on the music, Chris invited other members to his coalition of the willing. Chris and David met while studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Maria Eisen was an obvious match to the group's vibe of greasy grooves, and adventurous, gritty solos. Maria's addition on Saxophone helped fill out the melodic soul of the band's sound. While playing gigs relentlessly throughout Brooklyn in 2007, Chris rediscovered electrical bass virtuoso Adam Minkoff playing at Galapagos Art Space. After sitting on a gig without ever playing the music before, Adam became an instant contributor to the funky, punctuated groove of the Bromantics.
