I am a rapper from Knoxville TN who just released my first EP "The Commencement" in 2015. I am 20 years old and have been writing for the majority of my life, but I started seriously writing for this EP around June of last year. I recorded at Knoxville's SoundLair and finished up the project in late November.
Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I have always been obsessed with the lyricism that comes with rapping. Since I was a writer throughout school, excelling in english classes and making 100's on my college papers, I thought that rapping just felt right. Something about the way the words are strung together, rhyming, fast, and still able to get a clear message out was amazing to me.
In August of 2014 I took a trip to 8 mile to see Eminem at The Monster Tour. I am greatly influenced by him, and after visiting the town he grew up in, it clicked. I knew for a fact that this is what I wanted to do, even if it is against all odds and stereotypes.
