"Mandorah Bound"

BROOKE Barnett is set to offer a Sunday session with a difference this weekend.
The singer/songwriter will even go as far as crossing the harbour for a splash of difference.
She will be playing at the Mandorah Hotel. And Barnett said getting out of Darwin City was a good way to refresh.
"(Mandorah) is special because it's the most accessible way to get out of Darwin for the day," she said.
"It's good to get a bit of perspective - physical and emotional."
Barnett will be offering her acoustic-styled music which combines original songs, and interpretations of covers.
"My music comes from a combination of lots of influences," she said.
"There is no doubt that the multicultural flavour of Darwin has affected it.
"It's an expression of who I am."
Barnett said her music had taken on a unique sound which has been influenced by the range of performers and genres she has worked with.
"The basis is the '70s soul and jazz themes," she said.
You can catch Brooke Barnett at the Mandorah Hotel from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday, May 17.
She can be seen every other Sunday at the Darwin Sailing Club from 5pm.
