Lyrics

It's OK (demo)

Written By: Brooke Barrettsmith/Adam Smith

You’re running head first into empty alleys dark and so mysterious
Careful or you’ll lose yourself
I can see you holding on to anything familiar
Maybe that’s what’s pulling you down, pulling you down

Cuz it’s OK to be afraid
Just keep your head on straight
And it will be O, be O, be OK
It’s OK to be afraid
Don’t lose the faith
That it will be O, be O, be OK

Test the waters scared you’ll wake up drowning in the mess you’ve made
But you can’t find out anything
I can see you struggling to break free from the uncertainty
But you don’t always have to figure things out, figure things out

Cuz it’s OK to be afraid
Just keep your head on straight
And it will be O, be O, be OK
It’s OK to be afraid
Don’t lose the faith
That it will be O, be O, be OK

You’ve got to try to lay it all on the line
Don’t, don’t, don’t you worry
Don’t, don’t, don’t you worry
I know you’re tired, keep on fighting
Don’t, don’t, don’t you worry
Don’t, don’t, don’t you worry

Say Farewell (demo)

Written By: Brooke Barrettsmith/Adam Smith

Hotel stationery
Pour your heart out
Your life, your story
Write it down
You gotta write it down

Tear-stained pages
Going up in flames
When the smoke hits the ceiling
Will the memories fade?

Say farewell to
All your mistakes
Forgive yourself
It’s a brand new day

Night turns to morning
You wonder why nothings changed
Do you really want forgiveness?
Or just the pain to go away?
Put pen to paper
This time for a different aim
The future is redemption
Your story of escape

Say farewell to
All your mistakes
Forgive yourself
It’s a brand new day

Salvation is waiting for you
Heaven holds nothing against you

Bright Eyes (demo)

Written By: Brooke Barrettsmith/Adam Smith

Thinking back to yesterdays
Sick and tired of all the games that you’ve been forced to play
Throw away those memories
Living life on borrowed time and now it’s time to pay
You look alright, like nothing’s wrong
You’re wasting your time pretending

Behind bright eyes
You’re freaking out
You’re finally seeing there’s dark inside
You’re breaking down
Sooner or later you’ll realize
You cannot hide
Bright eyes

Put your mask on everyday
Hide yourself away just thinking that they can’t relate
So afraid you’ll suffocate
Make today like no other day
You look alright, like nothing’s wrong
You’re wasting your time pretending

Behind bright eyes
You’re freaking out
You’re finally seeing there’s dark inside
You’re breaking down
Sooner or later you’ll realize
You cannot hide
Bright eyes

Every word I hear you speak is pushing you away from peace
When you want to run and hide and want you to reach out to me
