Bio
Hailing from Bulahdelah NSW, a small country town in which she still resides, it was on the long trips to & from the city that Brooke first developed a genuine fascination of music. At just 3 years of age Brooke began to serenade her parents from the back seat of the car. On high rotation were some of the songs of her earliest influences, Linda Ronstadt, Lucinda Williams & Patsy Cline. At the age of eight Brooke began to learn guitar & started writing songs of her own.
In 1998 at just 14 years of age Brooke was unearthed by triple j radio when it's unearthed competition came to Newcastle. Brooke was also invited to perform live to air on triple j radio from Newcastle's Civic Park.
Since then Brooke has continued to develop her live performance & song writing skills & has supported international singer songwriters including Kasey Chambers, Shane Nicholson, Fred Eaglesmith, Jim Lauderdale & Kim Richie.
In 2009 Brooke performed alongside Bill Chambers on the main stage of the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in Okhema Oklahoma USA & also went on to win the 1233 ABC Newcastle tour support prize.
