"American Idol"

"I think you are very talented" Simon Cowell - Fox Network

"American Idol"

"You're Going to Hollywood, Dawg!" Randy Jackson - Fox Network

"Skyland Productions"

"As a producer, I get the opportunity to work with many talented singers and musicians, but rarely do I run into a singer with as much raw talent as Brooke. From the moment she opened her mouth, I was amazed at the sounds I was hearing. She has so much control and emotion in her voice, and at such a young age! And her range is amazing! I keep thinking to myself... how do these young singers get so good, so early in life? It is undoubtedly a gift from above, and Brooke is determined to share her gift with the world. In the studio, Brooke is a breath of fresh air. She's hard working, and determined to get right, no matter what it takes. When I challenged her to go farther, sing higher, or dig deeper, she delivered... and with a smile! One word... Unbelievable. I can't wait to get her back in the studio, and see what else she can do!" - Darren Rust, Producer

Carry You Through, Released September 2009

Born on the east coast and raised in Minnesota, 22-year old Brooke Kelly Kilgarriff, is already a seasoned performer. It was at the age of four when she was exposed to music by accompanying her older brother to his piano lessons.

“I have great memories listening to my big brother play and then I would try to repeat everything he did on the piano when I got home.“

After her parents noticed Brooke’s natural ability to pick up music, they begged her brother’s piano teacher, who only taught first graders and up, to take on Brooke as a pre-schooler. Since learning to play the piano, Brooke has taken on the violin, saxophone, guitar and even songwriting.

At age 16, Brooke auditioned for American Idol, winning a coveted golden ticket and experiencing both the rigorous pace of Hollywood week and the praise of Simon Cowell. After returning from her American Idol experience, Brooke has been working tirelessly to make music and the stage her life’s career. Brooke attended The Boston Conservatory as a musical theatre major, but recently transfered to the University of Minnesota and plans to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre.

Brooke’s musical influences range from Broadway to country to rock. “As a kid, I remember dancing around my bedroom singing along with Celine Dion.” It wasn’t long before she was drawn into the music of Queen and The Beatles. “ I love the classics, they never get old to me!” comments Kilgarriff.

An experienced vocal performer and entertainer, Brooke has performed in theater and music venues from Minnesota to Boston. Locally, Brooke is a favorite for singing the National Anthem for sporting events including the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, and the Saint Paul Saints. She has been a regular cast member as both singer and dancer performing with the Solid Brass at Valley Fair. She has appeared in numerous theatrical productions, and has been a guest performer for many events throughout Minnesota and Massachusetts.

In June 2009, Brooke competed and won the title of Miss Minnesota 2009, winning the talent competition and a generous scholarship award. She has already traveled to all corners of the state performing and raising awareness of the Miss Minnesota Organization. Within the few short weeks following her winning the title, Brooke recorded a new CD, Carry You Through, to help raise money for the Miss America National platform, The Children’s Miracle Network. This CD features two original songs by composers who have America Idol roots. The CD was released in December 2009, with a full concert and release event at the Mall of America.

Brooke competed for Miss America in January 2010 at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, winning a coveted talent award. Brooke gave up her title of Miss Minnesota in June of 2010 and was cast as the lead "Rusty" in Chanhassen Dinner Theaters production of the musical Footloose. She continues to make appearances around the state, including an upcoming debut with the Minnesota Orchestra in May 2011.

Brooke is available to host, emcee and/or perform for your special event.
