Four longtime San Francisco musicians blending roots in Soul Blues, Jazzy West Coast Swing & Rockin' Twang to cook up a stew of tasty music full of energy and with a deep danceable groove. “Playing their 'Cool Swing Soul Blues' BROTHERCAT is top notch players thinkin’ Harlem in the 40s, the West Coast in the 50s, New Orleans, Memphis, Detroit in the 60s. These guys mix sugar & spice from jump blues legends like Louis Jordan, Louis Prima, T-Bone Walker & Wynonie Harris and masters like Bo Diddley, Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker & B.B. King. They add bayou mojo by Allen Toussaint & King Floyd to sweet soul by Wilson Pickett, Howard Tate, Al Green, Jackie Wilson & Clarence Carter.
