Brother John

Brother John is a Chicago-based band that performs classic rock, R&B, blues, New Orleans, and other soul inspired works. Led by guitar virtuoso/vocalist John Kattke, Brother John has performed with such musical icons as Eric Clapton, Steve Miller and the Black Crowes.

A regular at Chicago’s famous Buddy Guy’s Legends nightclub, Brother John has performed at such events as Chicago’s Blue Fest, Naperville's Last Fling and the Adler Planetarium's Celestial Ball. The band is a favorite at weddings, festivals, private parties, corporate events and galas. Kattke’s singing and guitar playing have drawn raves from audiences and musicians alike, including such musical icons as George Benson and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin.

Prior to starting Brother John, Kattke was the leader of the Otis Rush band for three years and has toured with Buddy Guy. Today, his band features some of Chicago’s highest caliber musicians, including Marqueal Jordan, Gerald McClendon, Jade Maze, Chris Neal, Chris Hall, Robert Collazo, Steve Eisen.
