He ain’t heavy. A band of brothers re-group for new project.

Brothers in real life, Chris and Andrew formed Brothers In Stereo (B.I.S.). in 2001. A self-titled full-length CD was released in June 2003 and a video for the single "The Worst Crowd" followed. The band toured extensively and was nominated for two awards at the ECMA that year, also taking home The Rising Star award at Newfoundland's own Music Industry Association award gala in 2003, and were nominated for an EMCA again in 2004 and 2005.

In September 2005, B.I.S. got a surprise call one afternoon to open for Our Lady Peace that night in Mount Pearl (after k-os were a no-show). This concert turned out to be the biggest and best yet for B.I.S, with over 10,000 people in attendance. Lighters were burning for "Your Voice," and the crowd was singing along with the band on familiar radio songs. Chris said, "We had no time to worry about the size of the show, so we were really laid-back and able to enjoy it completely."

B.I.S. enjoyed a raft of attention over those 5 years from new fans south of the border who described the music as reminiscent of the Odds, classic Squeeze or Tom Petty. Brothers In Stereo mad power pop rich and textured with jangly layers of ringing guitar, warm vocals with wistful harmonies, and continued to thrive on writing/performing their own distinctive and magical brand of rock and roll, and triumphant, driven songs.

Then they took a break. Sort of.

Andrew LeDrew would release the solo project “Ladies Lookout” and Chris his solo project “A Stronger Man” and also form The 8 Track Favourites. Both brothers enjoyed critical success but longed to team up again with cousin Barry LeDrew on drums.

Brothers in Stereo launch their refurbished family sound in Spring 2011 with a sophomore project and a host of tour dates.

Lyrics

Smoking Gun

Written By: Chris LeDrew/Andrew LeDrew

If you're gonna kill me baby do it slow
I love that pain going around in my soul
Put out of misery and my time is come
There ain't no hiding from a smoking gun

There's tumbleweeds rolling down the boulevard
This anticipation has gone too far
I drive my car into the setting sun
But there ain't no hiding from your smoking gun

Refrain: My last request is for us to dance
Before you let me go
I can't contest you got the sweetest trigger
I've ever known

Well I can't stay here in Johnnytown
My luck ran out when my ship ran ground
I'll take the pain I'll be the only one
Who's running away from your smoking gun

Solo

Refrain

Repeat first verse

...and I'll run from
...and I'll hide from
...and I'll eventually die from

Harder

Written By: Chris LeDrew/Andrew LeDrew

Are you gonna drag me home tonight or are you gonna walk away
Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde ain't got nothing on us, babe
So there ain't no change so there ain't no way I could ever foresee the day
That you lay down your armor and admit that mistakes were made

'Cause it just makes it harder
It just makes it harder
It just makes it harder

Well you're standing there like a mannequin and I'm actin' like a mime
Fast cars and street guitars go drifting right on by
And the August moon sheds a lonely gloom into the beauty of your eyes
But there ain't no way you'll be dragging me home tonight

Chorus

Bridge: You make it harder
Harder on everyone
You sweet little martyr
You naked little one, you think that this is fun, you got me on the run
You naked little one, you think that this is fun, you got me on the run
oh, oh

Solo

Well are you gonna light a spark tonight or are you gonna fade away
New York and ol' King Kong got nothing on us, babe
So there ain't no change so there ain't no way I could ever foresee the day
That you lay down your armor and admit that mistakes were made

Chorus
