Brothers Moving is a beloved and novel cultural and musical phenomenon in New York City, San Francisco, Paris, Copenhagen and Rostov On Don Russia. With a sound derived from the pulse of their native Denmark and honed in and around New York Cities Union Square, Brothers Moving is the result of four young travelers trying to lighten the load of constant road rambling through music. Built on no special concept or genre, their first street show found the group fresh, with no set list, no defined aesthetic, not even a name.
Brothers Moving sound is rooted in the folk, funk, soul, rock & blues they love. Four brothers, two acoustic guitars, a bass and a Cajon plus impulsivity, improvisation and high energy comprise a Brothers Moving live set. The performance is the result of playing in the streets, where a low maintenance back line and the ability to attract and addict fans quickly has created what music aficionados and fans consider one of the tightest and the most inspiring live acts theyve seen.
Brothers Moving have sold out venues in NYC Rockwood Music Hall, Bowery Electric, Webster Hall Studio simply from their street performances their and have played both Stella McCartney and Donna Karens NY Fashion nights as a result.
Brothers Moving CD and i-tunes sales come from all over the country and even the world because the street as given them the opportunity to make fans from all over. On a recent trip to Russia, (also a result of a street performance,) Brothers Moving found that they had a draw and their music on Karaoke in Russia although they had never visited the country before.
Brothers Moving appear in studio on Major FM Radio Stations in Major Cities in The United States, Denmark, Sweden, and Russia without the help of Radio promotions. The hundreds of video's and thousands upon thousands of you-tube hits are posted by fans alone and are the result of word of mouth. All photographs of the brothers are donated from fans and are welcomed and cherished.
