Bio

The Brovaz Grimm grew up in a small suburban city located 30 seconds east of T-Dots notorious Scarborough. The group consists of two brothers, DocDemeyez (aka Thothra) and The Chemist. Living in central Pickering (GlenGrooove!) most of their lives, they watched it grow from a small town to the city it has become today. But one who judges solely on the residence or location of a fellow rapper may get a different impression from these two. The personal struggles they’ve overcome throughout the years have done nothing but help them grow into the MC's they are today. You could say that the corporate world put these two cats on to hip-hop, because in a way it’s true. But the fact that they moved in a different direction and started appreciating the artform for something different than what it was getting depicted as, (which was just that, an artform) showed them that this was much bigger than hip-hop. They could relate to SOME of the struggles being talked about and found themselves wanting to make a new voice for the modern generation of urban culture.
Glorifying violence or gangs or guns is not the purpose of these two rappers. They simply display they’re thoughts about ignorance and generalizations by showing you that the world nowadays is messed up EVERYWHERE. "No matter where you live you have to deal with situations when they arise" says Chemist. "We're tryna bring a new aspect of ‘realness’ to the game in a sense" he continues. They live up to the name Brovaz Grimm by telling their listeners stories of night times, girls, violence and emotion. What they simply refer to as 'Reality'. At the same time they use the negativity as metaphors to get the message of their music across. But like all rappers, BG have fun on some of their tracks and just "Let loose" as described by Doc. It’s been a long time coming for the young rappers but they'll get that well deserved respect in due time.
