Bruce Earle Biography

Bruce and artist names Classick B aka O.M.S, Born in Kingston, Jamaica and came to Toronto, Canada from I was
nine years old. This is my biography of how my journey began. When I was ten years old I had a passion for
drawing. I use to draw every day and my brother use to compete against me but he never got as good as me. I
would draw pictures and my brother would sell them in his class for fifty cents and one dollar sometimes. My art
skills started at elementary school where I drew and painted a big picture of a giraffe in grade five and they
posted it on the walls of the school hallway. In grade eight I won best artist of the year and the school gave me a
art award with my name on it and also gave me some art books and drawing tools and they also added one art
book from a professional artist with two of his drawing on it and that felt great. When I started high school at
Danforth Technical high school I was entered into an artist competition by my teacher and I also won best artist
but this time my art award was one hundred dollar and wow! That was allot of money to me back then because I
was only fifteen years young. However, I fell off track when I was told from my art teacher to go to Central
Technical School because there had a great art program that I can enroll in as a major in art to further develop
my art skills. I did just that but my dream of becoming a cartoonist got crushed because the program that I
enrolled in was teaching not arts of drawing or not relating to drawing but arts of sculpture, painting, and some
other different arts etc. I majored in five different art programs that did nothing with my gold to become a
cartoonist. I decided that I wasn’t going to do another year of majoring in arts that wasn’t my thing. I was just
probable misguided and I had no idea which program to take to pursue my art dream so it ended at age sixteen.
However, I had no idea I would become a musician artist but maybe creativity of any kind of art is just in my
genes. I started writing songs because I had a step dad that would freestyle and perform for the hype of it and
he would ask me all the time to try it and my response was I don’t know how to do that and he said sure you can
give it a try it just takes practice. I started to catch on and did my first Dance Hall performance with my step dad
at age seventeen and there my journey began and my love for music grew rapidly and intensively. I first started
doing Dance Hall music when I was 17 years old and then started rapping at the age of 20 and I fell in love with
hip‐hop. However, the only reason why I started writing hip‐hop lyrics is because one of my friend wanted to be
a rapper but he did not know how to write songs and I figured that I know how to write Dancehall songs so I
would give it a try and teach my friend how to write and quickly I fall in love with writing and performing hip‐hop
songs but I am mainly inspired by four types of Genre Hip‐hop, Reggae, Dancehall and RnB music and I also like
all types of music no matter the genre if the music is good I listen. However, I thought music is my way out of all
my struggles and family struggles and I still do to some degree. I have always had a work history from selling
chocolate bars at the age of twelve to working as a barber at the age of fourteen and working construction with
my step dad at age seventeen as a summer job and I worked my first full‐time job in a factory at age eighteen for
three years and started while still in school. After three long years of hard labor in the factory I decided to do a
trade and join the Local 27 Construction Union but there was too much ups and downs in the Union because
whenever a construction job was completed I would have to call the Union to put my name back on a list of
workers that needed a job. I have many other work experiences that I can keep talking about. However, I
decided to get back to what I really love which is music. Most of the things I learn regarding audio engineering,
producing and music in general Is hands on and I also researched on the internet and I watched countless of
hours of videos and learned allot about what I needed to know about music and the business. I have greatly
improved my craft in the areas in which I needed to as an artist/producer/engineer/songwriter and I do many
more things.
