Bio

Punctuated by a showcase on America Idol Season 7 in Dallas, Bruce Fraser Dickson began singing with his mom and sister at the age of 5. Bruce was a fan favorite on the county fair stages and was frequently asked to sing contemporary Christian music at church. At a high school talent contest the teachers wondered who was performing the great lip synch when they realized it was Bruce “live“. Previously Bruce had been known for sports, leading the varsity boys basketball team in points scored, steels and free throw percentage, culminating in their first divisional pennant in 20 years. Soon Bruce became known as the school American Idol. After high school Bruce did try out for American Idol at age 19. Beginning with 15,000 singers Bruce went through 3 cuts down to 25 singers to be seen by Randy, Paula and Simon for a chance in Hollywood. Although Bruce was featured for over 3 minutes on the show, he was not given the golden ticket. Bruce did get some attention however, receiving a tremendous number of radio and television interviews including an interview with My Fox Austin’s anchor Loriana Hernandez where he was asked to play his original song “One Key”. Bruce was asked back to My Fox Austin to sit in as a guest on their “Idol Chat” segment. Bruce flew around the country performing “One Key” in many concerts and events. Recently Bruce has scaled back to write and perform more original work. Bruce’s Vocal strength and versatility allows him to perform music In styles from artists and groups such as John mayor, Jeff Buckley, Josh Groban, Staind, Radiohead, The Goo Goo dolls, and Coldplay. When you meet Bruce and hear his voice there is no doubt he is headed for big things.
