Bio

In January of 2007 Bryan began working on a self titled independent cd called “midnight thoughts”. The e.p was just a ripple in the pond of creative events that would take place threw out the coarse of the coming year. Passing the Demo along to Angel Alamo, founder of alamo records, one could only expect what was to take place in the next few months.

“Angel contacted me at first when he heard the midnight thoughts e.p. It was something I was working on at that point in time just for fun. He enjoyed the ep so much he wanted to work with me for a long period of time and allow me to distribute my music threw his label and sunset records. With the way the ep was made, which was very quick, I know right away if I was given a long period of time to work on a cd, I was going to have something that was elaborately layered.”

In March of 2007 Bryan Blake signed with Alamo Records and Sunset Records Group. The record label is artist empowered and allows each band/song writer to develop material with out the umbrella of a big label ; giving room for artistic freedom, one of the many things that is missing today in the industry.

“When I signed with Alamo Records, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. When I was told of the procedures of events to releasing my cd in 2008, I thought it had to be too good to be true. With events continuously unfolding and developing, I feel this record is going to be probably be the most diverse thing I have done in a long time”.Exclaimed Bryan.

With the way the ep was made, which was very quick, I know right away if I was given a long period of time to work on a cd, I was going to have something that was elaborately layered.”

Since March, Bryan has been locked away in his secret hiding place recording music and preparing a cd that he feels is going to be around for a couple of lifetimes. Doing most the pre-production in his home studio, Bryan has spent and abnormal amount of time focusing on recording and writing material that he feels is “priceless”. Writing over 50 songs for the cd, and fine tweaking the best 12 Bryan has come up with a cd that is going to be unique, yet balanced in pop formula.

Influences consisting of Lou Reed, David Bowie, Trent Reznor, Maynard James Keenan, and Neil Young, the album that is being put together has traces of the atributes of all the “greats” but continues to hold its own distinct sound and tone.

“ I wanted to put together an album that was of its own species. So I pulled from a lot of the greats to do that. I wanted to find out what their roots of inspiration were and follow in their foot steps to grab a moment in time and make sounds that are my own. I think you will find that in Transformer from Lou Reed, or the great Ziggy Stardust records from Bowie. One of my favorite albums of all time will always be The Downward Spiral from Nine Inch Nails. I am also a huge tool fan and when I first heard Maynard’s “Puscifer” project I was really proud to see his idealism manifest such creative promise. It has given me the courage to step out my parameters and just focus on making a well crafted album.”
“The album is going to be great ass-shaking music. I spent a lot of months working on sounds and tones, not to mention over a half of a year working primarily on beats. I want this album to contain elements of all the things that I enjoy about music and believe it or not, I have done what I have set out to do.”

The new album titled “ Enter Me” will hit stores in January of 2008 at all music distributors through out the U.S and much of the world. Also, the cd will be able to bought directly over the internet and all the singles will be able to be downloaded as well.

Two of the songs that will be featured on the cd are available in their demo form on myspace now. “Stand up, become” and “move like you want me” will be both be on the cd but with different arrangements and more elaborate tones.

“ I have been in the process of rough tracking ideas for the big boys at the label for a long time now and when I recorded these two songs I was not really sure what they were going to say since it is so different than the ep that I had recorded a little over eight months ago. When I got the wonderful praises and approval from the label I knew I had to continue to go down the path that I was on. Enter me, is a very dark, deep, catchy, raw album that centers in hip hop, industrial, and alternative music. This cd has allowed me to tackle my demons and talk about things that I was always scarred to talk about.”

Bryan's demo e.p "midnigh thoughts" will be released internationally in Jan. 2008 with esunset records.
