Bio
You wouldn’t say that Bryan Edwards is simply “destined” for country music greatness. After all, he hasn’t inherited a multi-million dollar trust fund, doesn’t have a famous family member, and has never been a reality TV star. The word “destined” has an immense amount passivity to it. You would say, however, that Bryan Edwards is determined for country music greatness, and in a genre that historically rewards humble beginnings and hard work, determined beats destined, every time.
Since moving to Nashville from Tampa in 2005, Bryan Edwards has become one of the city’s hottest up and coming singer/songwriters, having earned his first major songwriting cut on Jason Aldean’s latest record, “My Kinda Party.” The song, “If She Could See Me Now,” was co-written by Bryan with hit songwriters Bill Luther and Justin Weaver, on the double platinum album.
While having written hundreds songs with some of the best songwriters in Nashville, Bryan’s credits as an artist are even more impressive. He has performed for thousands in opening spots for some of the biggest names in country music, including Keith Urban, Charlie Daniels, Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean and Martina McBride. Bryan continues to perform over one hundred shows a year in and around Nashville. After cutting his teeth and paying his dues on the Nashville scene for the past six years, Bryan is primed for the big-time.
With fresh, progressive melodies and relatable lyrics, Bryan’s music entertains country, rock, and pop fans, alike. As Bryan explains, “I grew up with so many different types of musical influences. I think all of those influences have blended together in my soul to create this unique vibe. It seems like I get the same positive reaction from both the country music lovers and non-country listeners.” And in today’s musical environment, the ability to reach both the country market and new demographics is the key to success and longevity.
But no matter the amount of success he has experienced or is to come, Bryan returns to his humble roots often. He volunteers on a regular basis, playing for the children at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Occasionally, Bryan also leads worship at his church in downtown Nashville.
Combining a strong work ethic, a proven songwriting background, a top-notch performance history, and the ability to understand life in the most real environments, it is easy to see why Bryan Edwards is on the path to stardom. And the best part isn’t that he is simply destined for it, but determined.
