to..."

"Live Concert Review"

..."Next came Bryan Flannery. A local guitarist/songwriter, Flannery is a police officer by day, rock minstrel by night. His vocals are strong and confident. And though he has a great voice for rock and roll, I was touched by this guys songwriting. Take, for example, "Ohio", a "based on a true story" tune of love lost, attempted suicide and a road trip to redemption. This tale will bring tears to your eyes and Flannery works the vocal to his advantage. Bryan Flannery is an artist to watch. He is a soulful tunesmith worthy of a second (or third) look."

Bio

The Bryan Flannery Band formed in Portland, Oregon after a friendship between vocalist/guitarist Bryan Flannery and bassist Eric Banke materialized into a need to fulfill something more. Eric introduced drummer Marcus "Big Daddy" McQuade (a long-time musical partner) to the mix, and the band has been selling out shows and spreading their name ever since.

Bryan Flannery Band is recognized as one of the top bands in the region, not only for drawing huge crowds to local clubs, but also because of their ability to keep their shows new and fresh every time they take the stage. With a driving rhythm section and off-the-cuff, inspired vocals, the band frequently infuses a new verse or style of music into an original song they've played for fans many times before.

The band plays throughout the West Coast and Northwest, including Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and California, but is looking to expand in the very near future to the National market. Their ambition, however, is balanced by a sense of community and a responsibility to give back to the people that support them. Bryan and the band have played several concerts for local youth, raising money to help promote the arts and benefit low-income, medically challenged, and at-risk children. Executive Director of Law Enforcement for Youth, Steve Polanski, said, "Bryan and his band lit up the stage. This performance was incredible and had adults and kids rocking out together!"

"Rushing Back" Bryan Flannery Band's debut CD is set to be released on June 28th and it is sure to recieve national attention.

Bryan Flannery:
Bryan's journey begins with a pen, paper, and guitar. From the true story of a man fleeing his failed life in "Ohio," to personal resurrection after failed love in "Not About You," his songs tell the stories we all share. As a kid in Southern California, Bryan realized that his heart and talent lay in his music, but it was late 2004 when he wrote his first song and began mapping his future. Bryan's first CD "Electricity" was a solo project, and was extremely well received by fans and media. His next CD with Bryan Flannery Band is sure to propel this band into the national spotlight.

Eric Banke:
Eric has been playing bass for over 20 years in bands and with solo artists covering nearly every musical style. He has traveled all over the U.S. and Europe performing for crowds of up to 35,000. Eric is a multi-talented musician, playing drums, guitar, and singing backup vocals. His approach to playing bass is, "Whether keeping it simple or being aggressive, serve the song. It's not always the notes we play; sometimes it's the notes we don't play."

Marcus "Big Daddy" McQuade:
Marcus has been playing up and down the West Coast music scene for over a decade, getting his start playing for local artists in the studio and at their shows. He moved on to play with the Shake Down Blues Band and toured with international blues legend Darrell Mansfield. Marcus has got a fun, powerful style reminiscent of his influences Stewart Copeland, Dennis Chambers, and Carter Beauford.
