Biography

Singer/songwriter, Bryan Harris is the Prodigy son of funk legend Bobby Harris of the Dazz Band. As a child, Bryan grew up hanging out with master musicians such as George Clinton, Philip Bailey (Earth, Wind & Fire), Jay King (Club Nouveau), Charlie Wilson (Gap Band) and Roger Troutman of Zapp, among others. These were his early influences. Very few artists can say that they actually spent time with the legends that inspired them, but Bryan Harris spent time singing, writing and performing for those who inspired him and he gained second-to-none coaching from the best of the best.

When his father hit Bill Board with the Dazz Band's first number one hit record, "Let it Whip", Bryan moved from the mean streets of Cleveland to a Shaker Heights mansion living next door to the OJay's, spending time with his neighbors, Gerald and Sawn Levert of the R & B hit group Levert.

As a young teenager, Bryan cultivated his song-writing and vocal performances touring internationally with the Dazz Band from the U.S to Japan and Germany. He recently played a sold-out show in Cleveland to 3,000 people.

At nineteen, he charted with his first song, "Ten Toes Up", on the Dazz Band CD, Under the Street Lights, receiving critical acclaim from Billboard Magazine and Cleveland radio, 93FM.

Today, at age 26, Bryan Harris is a ready to break into the scene on his own. He is a songwriter /singer/performer for our time - he can write hits ...he can write classics... and he has the vocal talent to match. The cathcy hoooks are a perfect match for film, television, and radio.

Bryan Harris draws upon the legends that graced his childhood, creating an original sound with strong hooks that are radio-ready and easily accessible to a broad range of listeners.

Learn not to care

Written By: Bryan Harris

I wait for you
'cause you said
that you'd come through
The wine is white
I had everything just right
Still, you were no show

What's the problem?
I thought that we were doing so well
Is it me?
Is it you?
Right now I feel I'm stuck in love hell.

Guess I got to Learn not to care
about you
Believe me when I say I will
Learn not to care
about you
I can't be burned but once
by you

She wrecked her Lex
thinking about our sex
They kept her there'
until the accident was clear
That's why she was so late
I was worried
I knew that we were doing so well

It's not you
It's not me
I guess I won't be stuck in love hell
Guess I got to learn to care
about you
Believe me when I say
I will
Learn to care
about you
I won't be burned at all
Guess I got to learn how to care

My Whipps

Written By: Bryan Harris

Honeys want to party all night
with me
when I'm rolling in my whipps.

Shorty want to make love to me
all night
when I'm rolling in my whipps.
Yeah!

Maybe the Bentley tonight
Maybe the Prowler another night
It doesn't matter any night
as long as it's you.

We can freak it on the east side
We can freak it on the west side
We can sex it all night
makin' sweet, sweet love
oh yeah...

My whipps
It's just that kind of party
My whipps
Makin' sweet, sweet love
My whipps
An american tradition
My whipps
Makin' sweet, sweet love

Honey likes the escalade
Dip flips
Like an ice-capade

Baby likes a car real low
So I freaked her
in a black lambo

Baby girl
you're my best friend
so we did it in the back of Benz

Honey, ain't nothin' like sex
Let's do it on the hood of the Lex

My whipps
It's just that kind of party
My whipps
Makin' sweet, sweet love
My whipps
An american tradition
My whipps
Makin' sweet, sweet love
