Bio
Singer/songwriter, Bryan Harris is the Prodigy son of funk legend Bobby Harris of the Dazz Band. As a child, Bryan grew up hanging out with master musicians such as George Clinton, Philip Bailey (Earth, Wind & Fire), Jay King (Club Nouveau), Charlie Wilson (Gap Band) and Roger Troutman of Zapp, among others. These were his early influences. Very few artists can say that they actually spent time with the legends that inspired them, but Bryan Harris spent time singing, writing and performing for those who inspired him and he gained second-to-none coaching from the best of the best.
When his father hit Bill Board with the Dazz Band's first number one hit record, "Let it Whip", Bryan moved from the mean streets of Cleveland to a Shaker Heights mansion living next door to the OJay's, spending time with his neighbors, Gerald and Sawn Levert of the R & B hit group Levert.
As a young teenager, Bryan cultivated his song-writing and vocal performances touring internationally with the Dazz Band from the U.S to Japan and Germany. He recently played a sold-out show in Cleveland to 3,000 people.
At nineteen, he charted with his first song, "Ten Toes Up", on the Dazz Band CD, Under the Street Lights, receiving critical acclaim from Billboard Magazine and Cleveland radio, 93FM.
Today, at age 26, Bryan Harris is a ready to break into the scene on his own. He is a songwriter /singer/performer for our time - he can write hits ...he can write classics... and he has the vocal talent to match. The cathcy hoooks are a perfect match for film, television, and radio.
Bryan Harris draws upon the legends that graced his childhood, creating an original sound with strong hooks that are radio-ready and easily accessible to a broad range of listeners.
