Pray Hard

Written By: Bryan Johnson

I woke up way too early, I don't recall the time. I couldn't sleep a wink 'cause there's just too much on my mind. The car payment's late, the rent is overdue. The creditors are on the line and baby needs new shoes. The boss is all up in my grill I missed my deadline. He's got me hangin' by a thread and working overtime---I've got a headache, heartache, bad case of the flu, tendonitis, gingivitis, and the summertime blues. I'm mentally irregular, emotionally scarred, the only thing I know to do---is PRAY HARD. PRAY HARD! When there's just too many issues and there's only one of you, you're backed up in the corner, you don't know just what to do; Just PRAY HARD!
As I look out on my nation, I can't believe my eyes, all the spiritual delusion and the ethical demise: I see indulgences to sex, drugs, alcohol and porn; those who don't want babies murder them before they're born. We smile at deception, accept adultery; we glory in rebellion and our immorality. I think we've stepped across the line, we may have gone too far, the greatest way I know to help---is PRAY HARD! PRAY HARD! Cry out for our country before it takes a fall. However big the problems, God is bigger than them all----So PRAY HARD PRAY HARD..
Remember He will hear you, He's never missed a call---you've been given access to the very throne of GOD!!

Words Unspoken

Written By: Bryan Johnson

A brother came to me so burdened down. The cares of this world had turned him inside out. He said "Do you have a single moment or two? My heart is full of burdens, can I share them with you?
I listened to his problems, every worry, every fight. Then I told him all that he must do to make everything work out right.
With tears in his eyes, he walked away and said "I didn't need a bunch of answers----just the comfort of a friend.
A sister came to me at her wit's end. She couldn't understand why she was struggling with sin. She said "I've lost another victory. I don't know where to go now, would you pray for me?"
I opened up my Bible, and I told her to be strong. Then I showed her all her weaknesses and everything she was doing wrong.
She walked away in deep despair, she said "I got another sermon, when what I needed was a prayer.
OhOhOh can't we see the damage we can cause; by being slow to hear and speedy with our jaws? If we don't learn it now, we'll have to learn it in the end; that at times the greatest words are words unspoken.
I saw a man with a broken heart. Everything in life had simply fallen apart. He said "I'm stuck between a rock and wall. I don't know how to climb it when I can't even crawl."
I begged the Lord for wisdom, then assured him that I cared. Then I took some time to weep with him and travail with him in prayer.
As he walked away, he turned and smiled at me. He said "I know a change is coming---God has given me His peace.
OhOhOh can't we see the joy that we can bring: just by shutting off our tongues and listening? We've got to learn it now so we don't have to in the end: that at times the greatest words are words unspoken.
OhOhOH can't we see the joy that we can bring.; just by taking time to care and listening? If we're walking in God's Spirit, we will feel each other's pain; and we can build each other up with words unspoken.
