Bio
Bryan Murdaugh is a Catholic dad, youth minister, songwriter, and musician. He lives in Irmo, South Carolina, USA with his wife, Cindy, his two daughters, and his son.
Bryan Murdaugh With Total Strangers is a full band, ready to supply young people with spiritual concert experiences, praise and worship, liturgical accompaniment, or storyteller sessions.
On March 4th, 2008, Bryan Murdaugh with Total Strangers released its debut album, “With Everything I Know, It’s a Long Way Home,” a moving collection of songs that energetically celebrates the joys of praising God.
“When Bryan leads the music during Mass, it’s always a unique and entertaining experience. You’ll hear a responsorial that could have been born when grunge exploded onto the Seattle scene in the early ’90s, an entrance song that’s fused with a smooth reggae beat and occasionally, a rock number that makes you wonder if you stumbled into a Quentin Tarantino movie. This constant creativity is further amplified once Bryan gets together with the band. It’s a thrill to be with them as they minister because they defy expectations about what Christian music should sound like,” said Fr. Robert J Sayer of Lexington, SC.
When planning a retreat, conference, parish mission, youth day, or praise and worship session the band is the right choice for general sessions, worship, or musical workshops. In addition, Bryan is a dynamic speaker with ready-to-present programs. “The Beginning of Awesome” may be presented as a keynote or a workshop on how we’re called to live our faith after confirmation. “The Joyful Sacrifice” is a session challenging us to take our charitable acts to the next level and works very well for Lenten missions. “All in the Family” is a call for unity and togetherness in the home. Need a theme song? It can be done. Bryan has written theme songs for youth conferences, long-term programming, and for multimedia presentations and videos.
