I've been playing and writing for 15 years or so. I've fronted 'hair' metal bands and I've played soft acoustic shows. As far as genres go it's easier to exclude than include, so that rules out reggae, rap and jazz. Anything else is fair game. I love good songwriters from Dylan, Lennon, Mitchell, Ferry and Buckingham to Chris Martin, Rob Thomas, Steve Earl and Adam Duritch. Lyrics are very important to me and carry as much weight as the melody. I'm a careful and thoughtful songwriter who believes strongly that music can and will change perspectives and lives, given half a chance.
