Bio

Bryan Anthony van Putten (born September 15, 1985 in Aruba) is a Dutch-Caribbean songwriter, singer and guitarist. He currently resides in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Van Putten is most widely known for his tender blend of intimate, melodic confessions permeated by pop hooks, poetic lyrics, and nostalgic sentiments. He has been compared to John Mayer, Damien Rice and Jason Mraz, yet Bryan tends to blend all possible genres together into his own style.

Throughout 2011 and 2012 Bryan has been working with various artists, both internationally as well as locally. His collaboration with Latvian singer/songwriter Tamara Rutkovska, 'It Really Doesn't get Any Better', ranked #8 in the MIXFM project top 10 in Latvia.

Never shy of new projects, Bryan has also been releasing cross-overs with rappers Hitman & The General as well as producing songs for other artists.

A resident at the Hemingway Social Club in Rotterdam since September 2011, Bryan can be seen performing weekly on Tuesday nights from 22:00 to 01:00. Most of the time, accompanied by friends (and strangers).

Bryan van Putten is also the winner of the 2010 Audience Award during the Grote Prijs van Zuid-Holland ("Big prize of South-Holland"), in the singer/songwriter category.

Songwriting, along with keeping up with current events and global issues are his passion. A troubled mind with little to say and much to write about, his music is like a never-ending story, every song another chapter, every word another page.
