Bio

BiographyBryley is an Australian self motivated independent artist that likes to share her experiences through the art of song writing. She abides by the saying “the more you do yourself the greater the reward” and whilst social media has been kind, now is the time for Bryley to legitimise her music and take it to the wider audience. ‘Breathe’ is Bryley’s first single to radio, “People that didn't even know me have helped me get this far ” says Bryley, “and for that I am thankful and humbled by their contributions”.

Bryley’s played some of Sydney’s top live venues such as The Vanguard, Lizottes, The Gaelic Club, Brass Monkey, Excelsior Hotel, Luna Park, The Opera Bar and The Basement. She's performed at Allphones Arena 'Total Concert Experience' pre show VIP events for Coldplay, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, Lionel Richie and Michael Buble concerts as well as being invited to perform at the Peats Ridge Music Festival. Bryley is also an award nominated artist receiving 3 nominations at the 2008 National MusicOz Awards for: Pop Artist of the Year, Singer/Songwriter of the Year and Artist of the Year. The Awards were broadcast on MTV and this is where Bryley received her first National televised exposure performing live with Bukkcity (2 time winner of MusicOz Best Urban Artist). 2012 also saw 3 nominations at the Musicoz Awards for Singer/Songwriter of the Year, Pop Song of the Year and Video of the Year.

The last few years have seen Bryley develop some special working relationships with some extremely talented & credible folks. ‘Breathe’ is a product of one of those special working relationships when everything just seemed to sync in perfectly. ‘Breathe’ was co-written and produced by DNA Songs who also co-wrote and produced the Marvin Priest hit single ‘Own This Club’, Reece Mastin’s ‘Good Night’ and Timomatic’s ‘Set it Off’. Aria Award Producer/Engineer Paul McKercher (Eskimo Joe, Pete Murray, Josh Pyke, Living End, Sarah Blasko) also weighed in with a wonderful mix that works on so many levels. The clip for ‘Breathe’ was directed by Dale Alexander Bremner and features Bryley wandering the streets around Central Station, Haymarket and Chinatown. The video for ‘Breathe’ has received rotation on Rage and is linked on Nova, Radar Music and Channel V websites.

“Breathe just started out as a simple lyric idea….the seasons changing, it’s a song about accepting change, looking for more and finding your place” says Bryley. ‘Breathe’ is one of those songs with a cute catchy melody and chorus that you’ll find yourself humming long after the song is over.

Every now and then a voice that has a very distinctive ‘signature’ comes along and demands the time for a proper listen. Bryley is gifted with one of those voices and a close listen is well worth the time.
