Biography

Brynne's musical creativity seemed to flow through her blood from the day she was born. Even as a baby, her reaction to music was both mature and natural. She began scribbling down words in notebooks at the age of six; her mom found her first full song in her notebook in the first grade. Brynne will tell you it made no sense, but her mother will quickly tell you it was a love song about the boy who sat in front of her in class. In the serenity of her bedroom, Brynne continued to write and sing pop songs throughout elementary and middle school without any formal training. It was not until she was ten years old that she picked up the flute and started taking lessons, enhancing her musicality and theory.

While Brynne had accumulated a number lyrics and melody lines, she still needed an instrument that fit her musical styles, to accompany her sweet soulful voice. In her sophomore year of high school, she picked up the guitar and taught herself to play. There was a natural relationship between her and her guitar, and it wasn't long before she was playing her original songs at local coffee shops and open mic nights. Soon she had a following of devoted fans and was being invited to play all over New York. Word traveled fast, and she hadn't even hit her sixteenth birthday. Brynne entered the studio and recorded seven songs for her debut independent release "Rain Date."

For two years Brynne continued playing live shows and selling copies of Rain Date wherever she could. She loved to play more than anything else and knew that her first album was not going to deliver her a music career. In July of 2005, Brynne met with producer Steve Luongo (John Entwistle, Billy Squier, Leslie West/Mountain) and a songwriting partnership was formed. Brynne and Steve added guitar phenomenon Mark Hitt to the writing team, and the hit potential became instantly apparent. A five song EP was recorded in September of the same year, and the group is now working on completing a full album.

Brynne currently resides in Westchester County NY and is closer to making her dream come true every day. For anyone who has followed Brynne's career over the last three years, it is clear that her development and growth as a well rounded musician has been immerse. Her songwriting progresses with her life experience and her voice and guitar skills continue to impress listeners across the world. Her style is unique, her voice captivates and her lyrics are relatable to anyone who's ever wanted a new way to look at life and love.

Lyrics

What Have We Done?

Written By: Brynne Calleran, Steve Luongo, Mark Hitt

She skipped dinner again today
The next morning she ate her reflection
Dyed her hair a lighter shade
Thirty-six A's not perfection
She had no time to act her age
She learned you can't beat 'em can't join 'em
She sees the ads on every page
Trying to steer her direction

And the boys they pay her no mind
And the girls they give her no time
And she cries 'cause she's not born with it
It's Maybeline

Chorus:
What have we done? What have we done to her?
What have we done? What have we done?

Who's the stranger she's become
Money will fuel her obsession
Spending all the sense she's got
Buying another complexion
She rolls her skirt up way too high
Most academic didn’t win the attention
Buys her shirt a smaller size
Makes the grade with all the guys

And the girls they pay her no mind
And the guys they give her no time
And she cries 'cause she's not born with it
It's Maybeline

Chorus

Was it the message in a song she heard
A Hollywood dream so absurd
Or the lies on some TV show
That made her who she isn’t
Was it the because we looked the other way
Was there something we were supposed to say
Call me crazy, but I think that we’re all to blame

More Than Just a Friend

Written By: Brynne Calleran, Steve Luongo, Mark Hitt

Its no secret we both feel it
But we don’t go near the flame
Awkward silence in the darkness
And it’s driving me insane

You won’t say it I won’t hear it
So the words are left for dead
You go your way, I go my way
But you’re still inside my head

And I hope you know it always comes back to you in the end
And I swear one day you’re gonna be more than just a friend

So we’re out here going nowhere
Cause there’s nowhere left to go
And this nowhere so familiar
Is the only place we know

You don’t see me I don’t see you
But we’re never very far
We both want it but we fear it
So we stay right where we are

And I hope you know it always comes back to you in the end
And I swear one day you’re gonna be more than just a friend

We don’t violate what’s working
We’re protected safe and sound
But we know that there’s more to it
We’ll tread water ‘till we drown

I could have you and I know it
And I think you know the same
Why keep trying to keep lying
We will never win this game

Repeat Chorus

Dirty Girl

Written By: Brynne Calleran, Steve Luongo, Mark Hitt

Some say I’m reckless, a little daring
I guess that’s why you won’t quit staring
You hear some rumors, and think they’re true
You think I’m gonna go home with you

I’ve got a tattoo, ain’t nothing wrong with that
I heard your mouth was going, talkin’ behind my back
I wear my jeans low, I like them tight
It shouldn’t make you think that I’m yours tonight

Stop treating me like I’m a dirty girl
Stop treating me like I’m a dirty girl

You’re talking trashy, a little mean
Oh baby slow it down I’m not your porno queen
I like to party, and have some fun
That doesn’t mean I sleep with everyone

Stop treating me like I’m a dirty girl
Stop treating me like I’m a dirty girl
Stop treating me like I’m a dirty girl
Stop treating me like I’m a dirty girl

Sky high heels a short skirt
I’m not a tramp, But I like to flirt
I walk it sexy, I like to strut
It doesn’t mean that I’m a… It doesn’t mean that I’m a…

Stop treating me like I’m a dirty girl
Stop treating me like I’m a dirty girl
Stop treating me like I’m a dirty girl
Stop treating me like I’m a dirty girl
