BandFolkAcoustic

Bryon's music has been compared loosely to musicians such as Jack Johnson and Donavan Frankenreiter, but is surely in a genre of its own. The songs are simply composed, lyrically intricate, and entirely original.

Biography

Bryon was born on July 3rd, 1986 in Daytona Beach, FL, but moved to New Smyrna Beach at a young age, and considers New Smyrna as his hometown. He began writing and playing guitar at the age of fifteen, and continues unabated. He was a member of the Stetson University Children's Choir, and has won multiple awards as a solo vocalist at several international competitions. He has performed the national anthem at Embry-Riddle University and at several NASCAR races, such as the Brumos Porche 400. Bryon's performances continue today, but mostly as a guitarist/ singer songwriter at booked social functions. In 2007, he released his first solo EP, titled Generation Y. For Generation Y, Bryon played the acoustic guitar, the piano, performed vocals and wrote every lyric. The EP is currently being promoted to music & media in California & beyond.

Lyrics

Heaven

Written By: Bryon Andrew White

What if heaven, wasn’t so hard to find
What if the only thing you need was a new state of mind
What if it’s growing in the field, and a reaper’s what you wield
To harvest heaven
What if heaven, wasn’t so far away
It’s in the pictures that we’re painting, in the music that we play,
If you take a look around, you will see and hear the sound,
Of heaven
CHORUS: No I don’t know, no I don’t know, where I’m going,
No I don’t know, I don’t always know, where to feel the sting, of society, no I don’t know where my logic is gonna take me now, hell I never know, but I do know that while I have it, I don’t feel a thing.
What if heaven, wasn’t above the sky, we’re all in it while we’re living, not only when we die,
If you take a look around, from space down to the ground, it’s all heaven.
REPEAT AND END WITH CHORUS

Generation Y

Written By: Bryon Andrew White

Generation Y

They call us Y, generation Y, don’t ever give up kid, don’t ever look down, keep reaching for the sky.
No guts no glory, no pain no gain, you better play hard boy, if you’re gonna win this game,
What child is this, who understands, what line of your shit, can make this boy into a man?

CHORUS: I don’t know, but I wanna look down, I wanna stand with my own two feet so deep in the ground, I don’t know you, but I won’t stare, If you were me, if you were one of us, tell me would you care….

Well, the wind, blows through the trees, and the leaves, fall into the sea, are these not the same things we’ve been seeing since the start of time, are you just afraid cause it didn’t look this way in your mind…What child is this, who gives a damn, what line of your shit, can make this boy into a man?

CHORUS: I don’t know, but I wanna look down, I wanna stand with my own two feet so deep in the ground. I don’t know you, but I won’t stare, If you were me, if you were one of us, tell me would you care? Repeat x3 last verse
REPEAT 1st STANZA, AND THEN END WITH CHORUS.

Ready for a Change

Written By: Bryon Andrew White

READY FOR A CHANGE

Baby you know that I’m ready for a change
Nothing too drastic, nothing wrapped in plastic, and shipped on a big airplane,
No, you know that I’m realistic, well the best things in life, were always simplistic, and baby that’s how I know, I’m ready for a change, oh yeah,

CHORUS: Well, baby you know I tried, to do things right, and you were there when I could not sleep, at night,
Baby, I’m no longer, willing to fight, no the time has come, to put out my thumb, ‘cause I’m….ready for a change, bo do de de do, yes I’m ready for a change.

Well I’ve been sitting on this pile of sticks, for far too long,
Haven’t been getting my kicks writing these mediocre songs, and I find myself aging, after all the little wars that I’ve been waging, and baby that’s how I know I’m ready for a change, oh yeah…

REPEAT CHORUS
Well this ship’s been setting sail, for a thousand years it seems,
Over a dismal sea, of my broken dreams…
And I find myself learning, after all the bridges, I’ve been burning,
And baby that’s how I know, I’m ready for a change, oh yeah…
REPEAT AND END WITH CHORUS

My Golden Sun

Written By: Bryon A White

MY GOLDEN SUN
Should have heard them talk about you, seems that you’re the chosen one,
You’ve got those rumors flying round’ you, they say your new life has begun,
But I know, sometimes it’s not so grand…And I know, sometimes you just want someone, to hold your hand…. To hold your hold
Girl, you know this world can harm you, you’ve got to open your own doors, when the road gets rough just keep on walking, this great big world comes back for more.
And I know, sometimes it’s a little mundane, and I know, sometimes it all seems like, it’s all the same… it’s all the same….
CHORUS: And I say, carry on my golden sun, look at that bright light that’s surrounding you, all I can say, is hope you shrug your fear away….and carry on, my golden sun. Carry on, my golden sun…
Girl, you’ve got bad things behind you, but that’s just not the way you win, when you’re drowning in your sorrow, is when you choose to sink or swim… and I know, sometimes it’s not so clear, and I know, sometimes, a sweet song, is hard to hear… so hard to hear…
REPEAT AND END WITH CHORUS.

Crazy Beautiful

Written By: Bryon A. White

CRAZY BEAUTIFUL
I’ll bet you’re flyin’ all around the world, you were always were a multi-cultural girl
Seein’ places I’ve got yet to be, flauntin’ your graces somewhere cross the sea,
CHORUS: And why do I try, to say goodbye, can’t fight what you do to me, wherever you go, I need you to know, that you’ll always be… and you’re always, crazy beautiful, to me….
I’ll bet you’re done up and lookin’ real nice, it must be wonderful in paradise, how I wish I could be there with you, If only I didn’t have so much to do…
REPEAT CHORUS:
And you’re always, crazy beautiful, to me…….

Faces in the Mirror

Written By: Bryon Andrew White

I see the world's biggest liar..everytime I look in the mirror,
He watches me shave and watches me comb my hair.
He's there every night when I lay myself down to retire,
and in the morning, I'm greeted by his devilish stare.

I see the biggest heartbreaker
every time I look in the mirror,
so may loves were lost to his dangerous way.
In too many ways though his fears are growing much nearer,
no matter how he tries to shed them, the feeling they always will stay.

(chorus)
These faces in the mirror, they all have come back to haunt me,
they are reflections of the person
that I really am,
They all seem so distant but they simply cannot be,
because all of these faces are bunched up inside of one man.

I see the biggest backstabber everytime I look in the mirror,
so many betrayed by his devilish kind
He'll quickly befriend you and then he'll turn against you
and when you need so much, all that he needs is time.

I see my life flash before me everytime I look in the mirror,
I think back and remember all the mistakes that I've made,
But in so many ways I'm seeing things a little bit clearer
and it's very clear that I'm starting to fade..

(chorus)
These faces in the mirror, they all have come back to haunt me,
they are reflections of the person
that I really am,
They all seem so distant but they simply cannot be,
because all of these faces are bunched up inside of one man.

Queens

Written By: Bryon Andrew White

You wear a golden crown, upon your golden head
You’re too much of a Queen baby, to hear anything anyone said,
I sing you to sleep, as you lay upon this bed,
Retreating to that place baby,
That place inside your head –

But one day you’re gonna learn baby
Even queens are left behind-
And that the only place you rule baby,
Is the kingdom in your mind-

You rule a crystal kingdom-
Or that’s just what they say-
But crystal is so fragile, baby,
And kingdoms fade away.
So you wait for your end-
While you sit upon your chair,
Calling for a friend-
But no one else is there-

But one day you’re gonna learn baby
Even queens are left behind-
And that the only place you rule baby,
Is the kingdom in your mind-
