Who is B-Serious? Why now? What does he do? Where is he
from? What does he rep? If you're not seeking the answers to
these questions then you're definitely not apart of the 185,887
people (and more) on youtube who know who he truly is.
Bernard Robinson was born September 27, 1986, in
Queens, New York from Carmen and Benard Robinson. At a
young age, Bernard's parents divorced and Benard decided to
relocate and stay with his beloved grandmother in South Carolina.
Bernard attended Berkeley High School in a town known as
Moncks Comer. The country life was remarkable and Benard got
the opportunity to see the different lifestyle of the South. In 2003,
Bernard decided to move back to the busy city life in Coney
Island, NY. Living with his other grandmother in NY, Bernard
learned that struggle knows no race or creed and that hard work in
the end pays off. Bernard got his name B-Serious, from a good
friend in Coney Island by the name of G-Mayor. (B being short
for Bernard and Serious for the content of his lyrics.) The two of
them would write and freestyle everyday. Bernard's love for hip
hop begun at a young age and is unlike any other. You can always
find him studying, listening, and learning from some of the greats
of hip hop such as, Biggie, Tupac, Master P and Jay-Z.
The most beautiful thing that Bernard has experienced so
far in his life is the birth of his daughter, Asia Unique Robinson
'and he not only raps for the love of it, but for her as well.
B-Serious has one goal. To have his music make a major impact
in people's lives. To share the struggle of his life and to speak on
the realness that hip hop often portrays. He doesn't want to stop
just with music. B-Serious has further ventures of creating his
own clothing line called, "SERIOUS" open a restaurant one day,
and possibly getting into a little acting to feature more of his many
talents. B-Serious has performed at some notable places in NY
such as the Ron Alexander Shown (a Bronx based underground
TV channel), Fashion Rock Lounge, Rooftop on 34th Street, and
Pompeii Lounge. Currently, B-Serious is working diligently on
his debut album called, "Who is B-Serious?"
