Bio

Who is B The Messenger? Well, in order to know who he is you must first know who he was. Bari Tunstill a.k.a. B-The Messenger was then Lil Muny, co-founder of a six member rap group out of Indianapolis Indiana by the name of N.A.P. The group had about a decade of underground buzz before completely dismantling in 01' 02. 3 members grew up together and the other 3 were added over the years. There is not enough time to tell you the "inner group" drama they went through. It's a movie waiting to happen. Stay Tuned!

He has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the secular music industry such as: Ice Cube, Mac 10, Da Brat, Ine Kamozie, Above The Law, 8 Ball and MJG, Warren G, The Twins, Dove Shack, Spice 1, Red Man, Snoop Dog, Too Short, Master P and No Limit, Mystikal, C-Bo, Marvelous, Scarface and the Gheto Boyz, South Central Cartel and LV just to name a few. With the type of lifestyle he lived and the type of music atmoshere he was around, the presence of sin was heavy. From off stage fights and occasional shoot outs, to robberies his lifestyle had only a few potential endings. Death and prison were just two. Every show could have easily been his last.

"I believed that by the grace and mercy of God, I was spared and prepared for such a time as this for the ministry". "That whole atmospher along with my lifestyle served as true training ground for the type of Hip-Hop demons we are dealing with in this day and age". "I was chosen before the foundation for this task"!

God's voice became clear to Bari a.k.a Lil Muny at the time, between July of 1997 and January 1998. The method in which God used to speak to him was very clear as well, but yet and still he kept running from the call of God.

His oldest son Bari Jr. who was 5 at the time, along with a host of nephews and nieces who used to look up to him as if he was their hero, role model, or better yet their favorite rapper. They knew all of the lyrics to every song. They played a major role in the begining of his transformation."I was destroying them slowly and I was too blind to care". "I wasn't too blind to see, I just didn't care." "I was busy chasing that same empty dream most of these other artist are chasin now. I was tyrying to "blow up". It just didn't matter to me who I was hurting".

Not knowing much about gospel rap or even if there was such a thing, he knew God had given him a gift and he wanted to serve God with it. "I began to ask God for a name and direction. "It took what seemed like years, but I finally heard Him say, "JUST BE THE MESSENGER I CALLED YOU TO BE AND PREACH MY WORD". "I PULLED YOU OUT OF THAT GROUP TO FINISH PREPARING AND EQUIPPING YOU FOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE". From that statement, "B-The Messenger" was born. Bari accepted his calling into the ministry in November of 2003 and began preaching the word of God.

"Like Saul, after he had done his deepest dirt in the streets persecuting christians, Jesus saved him, sent him to be trained and equipped before releasing him to serve". "Then Paul was sent out to the world with the Message of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ."

This is what seperates B-The Messenger from the rest of what the world has to offer as rappers. He is one of a remnant of "messengers" out there with the gift that allows him to connect with youth and young adults. He is well respected, has access to the hoods, blocks, prisons, and definetly the churches to deliver God's word.

So here he is, "B The Messenger", a servant of the Lord, King Jesus with a powerful minisrty through personal testimonies and more importantly, the message of Christ over bangin tracks!
