Bio

The Washington DC born, LA-bred musician has been playing bass guitar and singing—leading his own eclectic band "The Black Coffee Experience" since 1995. With over twenty years of experience as a performing artist, B.T. Richardson has played with the likes of jazz vocalist VINX, Blues legend Son Seals, Rock and Roll pioneer Bo Diddley, New Orleans Queen of the Blues Marva Wright, and R&B icons El DeBarge and Mark Greene of the Moments. He has also toured the world as a bassist with multi-Handy award nominee, Deborah Coleman and Handy award winner Grammy-nominated artist, James Solberg.

B.T. has performed in music festivals and clubs around the world including the Montreal Jazz Fest (Spectrum Hall), Chicago Blues Fest, San Francisco Blues Fest, BB Kings, Buddy Guys Legends and the House of Blues to name a few. He has done work for commercials, as well as indie film projects. He is also the choice performance and session bassist for the Seattle-based Hip-Hop indie label NocOnWood Records.

In 2003, B.T. composed and produced the soundtrack music for the play “Don’t Sing No Blues for Me”. The soundtrack is his debut release on his independant record label, PotpourriMusicWorks. The title track, "Sing No Blues,” was a semi-finalist in the 2005 International Song Contest, Blues category. Playing Blues,Jazz, R&B and Reggae, always a crowd pleaser. B.T. is a new talent to be Seen as well as heard.
