Bio

The group was founded in Brusy (Poland) july 2007. The musicians of Bubliczki, has played in the folklore band of Cashubian (The ethnic area of North Poland) Folk Ensemble “Krëbane”, where they has obtained musical experiences. The initiator of the project was Mateusz (Mathew) Czarnowski (accordion, vocal), whose learned from musicians from whole of the world and collected his friends. Seven people and every man with another musical character. The idea of the group is a new way of playing the polish and casubian folk music. The music of Bubliczki is a great fusion of Jewish tunes, Balkan wildness and Gypsy spontaneity with polish and especially cashubian base. Bubliczki came out during the International Folk Festival in Brusy (2007). The greatest success for the group was second prize on the “XVIII Mikolajki Folkowe” contest,first prize on the XIIth New Tradition contest in Warsaw. The name of bubliczki (bublitchki) means bagels in Yiddish.
