"DinnerLand Exclusive Premiere - Bub Styles "Long Nights, Cold Winters""

Coming off of the release of his well-received singles, “Badmon” and “Cash Box,” the latter of which featured a guest appearance from the latest Shady Records signee, Conway the Machine, Brooklyn’s Bub Styles drops his mixtape Long Nights, Cold Winters. The Winter-themed tape finds Bub doing what he does best: namely, talking that wild reckless shit over the dark and dusty production of frequent collaborator, Ace Fayce, who produced the tape in full. Guest features on the tape include: the aforementioned Conway the Machine, ARXV, Oklahoma’s Jabee, World Fair’s Lansky Jones, Bryant Dope, and Ace $L. Those who appreciate the traditional grimy New York sound will appreciate this tape’s modern take on it. Ski mask music right here. Peep the fly shit after the jump. - Dinner Land

"Bub Styles - Cash Box (feat. Conway The Machine)"

Brooklyn’s Bub Styles is joined by Conway The Machine on some new filth called “Cash Box” produced by Ace Fayce. This will appear on Bub’s upcoming Long Nights, Cold Winters project, due later this month. - NahRight

"Stream Bub Styles' "FATBOY SESSIONS" LP"

Brooklyn rapper Bub Styles stopped by the DopeHouse on Tuesday with "FDW" — a money-centric single featuring CJ Fly of Pro Era. It was the first single from his Fatboy Sessions LP, which dropped yesterday.

Lasting 11 songs, Bub collaborates with Hannibal King on nearly every track while 21 Quest, Ace Fayce and more join the credits. Bub's sound isn't anything new, but it pays homage to hip-hop's roots with simple boom-bap production, scratches and intercut vocal samples laying as the backdrop to lyrics full of pain, struggle and self-discovery.

"Bub Styles and CJ Fly - "FDW""

Brooklyn emcee Bub Styles, a member of Hannibal King‘s Villians United camp, makes his first apearance on our pages with “FDW,” the lead cut from his first solo record, FATBOY SESSIONS. On the Hannibal King-produced cut, Bub Styles and CJ Fly of Pro Era reminisce about the younger, carefree days that they experienced before they became jaded by money.

While CJ melodically reflects on the priorities of his childhood versus now, Bub viscously portrays the world he saw as a young man, full of sex and drug dealing. Though drastically different in theme, both verses capture why the emcees “had it all when they ain’t have shit.” Bub’s FATBOY SESSIONS drops June 8th.

We’re happy to be premiering “FDW” today. Listen below. - Artistic Manifesto

"Best Free Downloads of the Week"

When Hannibal King and Bub Styles have been making big, nasty hooks together for a while now, and they're really starting to hit their stride. "Roll Back" is off the duo's Peddle Fingers EP, and it covers all the bases: blunt smoke, pints of vodka, and getting kicked out of Benihana. Bubs' second verse goes especially hard, gritty NYC raps bouncing off the MF Doom beat. - Pigeons and Planes

"New Joint: Bub Styles – Coke Fronts"

THIS IS DEFINITELY SOME STEEP TECH + GORE TEX TYPE MUSIC RIGHT HERE!! Selling drugs out in front of the bodega type music. Bub Styles, up and coming rhyme spitter from Brooklyn I just recently got put onto, thanks to my good friend DJ FASHIONSPITTA. Homie’s voice and flow reminds me of the sinister and aggressive Brooklyn Hip-Hop I was raised on. He actually reminds me of Lil’ Fame from M.O.P. mixed with a little Kool G. Rap. As soon as I heard this I knew the readers of The Smokers Club would love to hear this, especially those readers that love to hear that “Golden Era” sound in current music. This is perfect for ya’ll. If you’re impressed and looking to hear more, head to his soundcloud page and dig deep into the archive. Shouts to Bub Styles. - Smoker's Club

Still working on that hot first release.

Bub Styles, a Brooklyn-born and raised rapper, has been bubbling on the scene, drawing attention from some of the greats that came before him. In the birth place of hip hop, Bub establishes a sound that’s new and refreshing, while paying homage to the great NY rappers we all know and love. His latest project ‘Long Nights, Cold Winters’, unveils rugged vocals over booming sinister production that tips the hat to the dirty 90’s style NY rap is best known for.

Recognizing his talent and distinguished sound, Bub has caught the attention of 2DopeBoyz, NahRight, Team BackPack, Smoker’s Club, Hot 97, Shade45, and more. He has recently been featured on ‘Showoff Radio Freestyle w/ Statik Selektah’ as well as ‘The Hot Box w/ DJ Enuff’
