Buddy Bangs

Gregory Allen Reed Jr. (Buddy Bangs) was born June 27, 1986 in Sacramento California. Buddy developed a love for music at the age of four, particularly the drums. He grew up in a family of soloist, musicians, and ministers. Two uncles, George and Joe Archie, inspired buddy; both are music producers.

At eight years of age, Buddy began playing drums for the children’s choir at his grandfather’s church. He continued playing until he was a teenager. Buddy was so eager to learn various style of rhythm and beats that he joined the marching band in high school, and took private drum lesson. Buddy continues to expand his musical studies.

At 18 years of age, Buddy started his own studio production. He was adamant about his career as a musician. He worked odd jobs and saved money to buy equipment for his studio. At the same time, Buddy worked to produce local talent, and co-established a local group “Eclectic.” The group Eclectic audition to perform in the 2004 Jammies show, produced by a local newspaper, the Sacramento News Review. The group won first place in the talent show and was offer free studio time to record an album, and the opportunity to perform in the Sammies, another show produced by the News Review. Buddy’s music has been placed on Access Hollywood, Celebrity Expose, TV One Access, and Hollywood Green with Maria Menounos. Buddy has also had the opportunity to share the stage with the Garrett Perkins project, Mercy Me, DJ Quik, B-Real, Tha Dogg Pound, Terrace Martin, Ricky Bell (BBD), Suga Free, Robert Brookins, Boggy G, Doey Rock, and B-Smoove.

Buddy gifts from God, and his spiritual guidance have offered many opportunities, and he humbly gives all the praise and thanks to God.
