Kenny joined The Strange in May, 2004. Kenny, who we call Basszilla, is very talented with a great sound, and style. He blends rock, reggae, blues, jazz, and funk. Basszilla is also the psychedelic jam master and a very solid and groovy player. Kenny started playing live in a Tampa Bay based rock band in 1989, called Clever Enemy playing throughout Florida. The band was signed to DeepCut records where they recorded two albums, Welcome To Paradise and Legend Of Blackwater Swamp. Thereafter, radio interviews, magazines articles, and performing was a way of life. The band was played on radio locally, and in Germany for many years. The band was doing well, but decided to call it quits after 8 years. Basszilla found a new soulful feeling in the blues, and started the band, Red House, a three piece heavy funky blues band that recorded Smokin The Blues and Southern Fried Blues. After 5 years of blues, Kenny started getting into more of the jam bands, and the real roots of all music.
