Bio

Nineteen-year-old D.C. native Bugaloo doesn’t ascribe to a specific genre of music. He creates without limitations – he can make any type of music, and can adapt his flow to any beat. Coming up, Bugaloo witnessed a lot of things in the streets and those experiences often take center stage in his lyrics. Influenced by a range of artists from Biggie to Boosie, Bugaloo began freestyling when he was 11 and recorded his first song at 13. A couple years later, he started taking music seriously.

Bugaloo has performed at a fair share of open mics and opened up for Zoey Dollaz at Touché Nightclub. He’s currently pushing his club banger, “Perfect,” and will release his project No Regrets this spring. Recently, he dropped a remix to “Hope It Don’t Jam” on YouTube and Soundcloud, and is performing in the Coast to Coast showcase at Pure Lounge on April 24th. Bugaloo looks forward to paid shows, and wants to work with Hood Rich (because he likes his flow and the moves he’s making) and Lightshow (because they’re from the same city and would make a great track together).

Bugaloo has been steadfast in the studio, recording enough material for a few projects. As DCTOP20 works with him on marketing and branding endeavors to expand his fan base, he remains focused on his passion for the arts and his mission to become a success in both the music and fashion industries. As a kid, seeing his father fresh to death inspired an interest in clothing, the desire to learn more about style, and the need to always present himself well. With the ability to make both urban and black-tie looks pop, Bugaloo foresees a bright future in high fashion.

Bugaloo wants to be acknowledged as a serious artist in his hometown and beyond -- with radio being no exception. In the meantime, he’s committed to developing himself as an artist, perfecting his craft and expanding his opportunities. As he progresses, he looks forward to breaking records and building a fashion house under his personal brand, ScruddaGang. Within a few years, Bugaloo hopes to be a renowned musician like Drake – everyone knows Drake.
