B U I L_D I N G S started out as James and Tim came together through their shared interest in exploring musical territories that sat between pop and avant-garde, creating complex arrangements and dynamic indulgences without the limitations of perception.

Meeting Ryan and then Lewis, this 4 piece have continued to let the music lead them in directions that could not be calculated or second-guessed. Songs are written in sections instead of standard verse/chorus pre-requisites, documenting emotional journeys through situations from the trivial to the tremendous.

A B U I L_D I N G S live set is as much of a journey as the songs themselves taking audiences to the darkest recesses before releasing them into bright and beautiful soundscapes as James' lyrics hold their hand along the way.
