Vantage’s history began in 2006 as the band known as Built on Ebenezer. The members of B.o.E. included Matt Fore, James Kwak, and Steven Kang. In 2009, Matt, who was the lead singer, left the band for personal reasons, forcing the band to reform. In its reformation the band moved James as the lead singer and added members Edwin Yoo as lead guitarist and Stan Ahn as the drummer.
Ever since its creation of Built on Ebenezer to Vantage, the band has been blessed to play at a variety of different shows. Their concerts include Spirit West Coast Del Mar 2008 & 2009, San Diego Del Mar Fair Gospel Festival 2008, Los Angeles Inspire 2009, San Diego Kroc Center (2007, 2008), and winners of Spirit West Coast 2009 Indie Artist Showcase.
Each member as been influenced by different genre of music and artists, and this creates a very unique style of rock music that sets Vantage apart from other rock bands. While their music can become 'in-your-face', their music can also be soft and soothing to the listener's ears with they melody.
