"On the Threshold of a Dream"

“Don’t Let the World Bring You Down” sang frontman and lead vocalist Thabs C. of the rock quintet Bulk Delish as they closed out Friday’s celebration with a bang. As his sweet, soulful vocal floated through the night, and Kevin Smith’s distortion-free, mid-boosted guitar tone rang clear and bright for the Knoxville/Nashville fivesome, Sean Dailey tore it up on his S&K six-string bass, occasionally dialing in a growling bite on tunes like “Killing Time” from their latest CD. Drummer Eric Rowland was quietly spectacular while Brent Pilon supported with samples and effects. The professional and polished performance had the crowd demanding an encore song, gracefully provided before the lights came down at last.

Bio

Bulk Delish is a Progressive Alternative Rock band that played their first show in November 2007. This Tennessee band has already released two highly acclaimed albums: Bulk Delish The Greatest Hits Volume I and Bulk Delish Live at the Rock Bar. They have played some of the most prolific venues in Tennessee, and sustained an ever-growing Internet presence. Bulk Delish continues to show that they have what it takes to be a front-runner in the ever-evolving music climate with music that is best described as complex and melody driven with a rock edge and pop like-ability. The group formed in Knoxville, TN where they attended the University of Tennessee. They kicked off 2008 with a very successful album release party followed by a weeklong Nashville tour amply titled "The Hybrid Monkey Human Tour." The boys have also released a live DVD and are currently featured on the Rock 4 Life Volume 18 compilation album benefiting Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis treatment and research. Look for 2009 to be a big year for the band as they plan to release a new studio album. This is definitely a band to keep an eye on.
