Bullets for Breakfast

Raised in the sunnier side of Southern California but shadowed by Disneyland’s Matterhorn Mountain comes Bullets for Breakfast, an eclectic group fusing gritty Alternative Hip Hop with emotive lyrics and disturbingly personal testimonies. The band began around 2008 when the two lead singers: Jonas Grumby,fresh out of a record deal with a major label and Manifest, fresh off a national tour were introduced through a mutual friend who insisted they meet each other. A few years later, the time came to release an album, so Grumby brought longtime
friend DJ Caveman to help with tying it all together.
 
The music speaks for itself, but is often compared to the likes of the Gorillaz, Gnarls Barkley, Sublime, the Pharcyde, Everlast and Eminem which is not bad company to find themselves in. The group’s production is heavily influenced by Fatboy Slim, DJ Dangermouse, Portishead and Talking Heads.
 
Although the band has a rather dark undertone, each song is typically laced with an extremely infectious chorus that often times causes one to sing it to themselves long after the song is over The band also peppers in the perfect amount of humor that involves both their own irreverence and quirky personalities alongside the animated characters that go hand and hand with their music. This antithesis is the perfect recipe for the roller coaster
Of emotions the band is well known for putting audiences through.
