Staten Island Advance Friday, March 31, 2006 By JODI LEE REIFER ADVANCE STAFF WRITER Bullfrog's HIP-HOP Get ready to Ribbet. Bullfrog Reunion leaps into Stapleton tomorrow. The bass-heavy, philosophy-fueled band gigs at 10:30 p.m. in Martini Red, 372 Van Duzer St. No cover. (718) 442-9362. The group is Robert (BobbyBunz) Parker, 32, Peter (Zigz) Ziegeler, 32, Salvatore (Pivo) Impeduglia, 30, and Phillip (Diamond) Euler, 29 -- guys who grew up in South Beach, Rosebank and Fort Wadsworth. Bullfrog raps about politics, women and Ten Commandments-style credos. "It's just about being good custodians of whatever you've been put in charge of," said Ziegeler, an Army National Guardsman based out of Fort Wadsworth. "I'm giving advice and taking it." Not that the poppy hip-hop lyrics are too serious. "I put the funny into their sadness," said Parker, a chauffeur for "one of those big, hot-shot corporate lawyers." Arrive early, warns Bullfrog. At the band's last gig, the line spilled down the block. - Jodi Lee Reifer
