"Bullmoose with The Trews"

…“Bullmoose, a three-piece band based out of Montreal, has a classic rock sound, but with strong elements of big blues and badass funk. Take a little Led Zeppelin, a little Van Morrison and a whole lot of kill and you’ve got Bullmoose.”…-The Queens Journal

"The Moose is Loose"

"A little blues and whole heapin' helpin' of thick, bass-heavy riff-rock--that's the formula for recent transplants Bullmoose, an Ontario power trio who now call Montreal home." -Montreal Mirror - Montreal Mirror

Bio

Bullmoose is a Band of Brothers. Fortunate Sons they are. From Delta and Westport, Ontario they grew and to Montreal they migrated. Their Roots are bare as Naked and they embrace the future of Song and Rock and Roll NOW more than ever. Afterall, anything is possible with Love and a Van. Community is their guide and Truth is their pride. Maybe you'll Hear it someday?

2007 marks the release of "Speaker to Speaker", their loud and proud best. Created at Breakglass Studio in Montreal under producer Jonathan Cummins (Bionic/Doughboys), the abum was engineered by Jace Lasek (The Besnard Lakes) and mastered by Ryan Morey. Speaker to Speaker brims with classic rock and roll energy, soul rave ups, heavy blues boogie and sketches of epic psychedelia. An army of Marshalls, Traynors and Ampegs launch vintage tones from the frontlines while guitarist Eric Lawrance and bassist Seamus Cowan belt out odes to freedom. Drummer and twin brother Jeff Cowan quarterbacks the deadly groove that leads into crowd stomping percussion jams with meaty guitar solos and naked instrumentals in the wake. Simply put, this band of Brothers isn't afraid to speak from the heart and play off the cuff...

Speaker to Speaker is the second release from Bullmoose after Lessons Learned. Since then the band has toured Canada in it's entirety with great success playing many festivals and rock and roll venues. They've shared the stage with such great and diverse acts as Wide Mouth Mason, The Trews, The Illuminati, Trooper, Bedouin Soundclash, Mobile, Matt Mays, C'Mon, Whitey Houston, The Swallows, The Jimmy Swift Band, The Royal Mountain Band, David Wilcox, The Golden Dogs, The Stampeders, Ronnie Hawkins and Jim Cuddy...James Brown in the next life! There has also been much support through radio in eastern Ontario and Montreal with KRock, CHOM, The Bear, BobFM, CKUT, CFRC, CJLO playing choice cuts from Lessons Learned.

Looking ahead, Bullmoose will find and reach out to even more rock and roll believers. Hold out your hands, be free and let the search continue. Long live the wild roaming Beasts of the endless north...
