For the last seven years, Bumrush has been through the blood, sweat, and tears of the music business together bonding as artists and friends during the process. After lineup changes in the very beginning, they have settled into the band of brothers now known as Bumrush. Bumrush is a talented group of musicians from a small town in south Georgia they have lovingly nicknamed Braindamage(Bainbridge, Ga.). Here is a little info about the members:
Tommy-Vocals- As the lyricist and lead singer, Tommy writes words that everyone can identify with. His real life experiences have come together to form gut wrenching, heart felt lyrics. You can see true emotion in his stage performance. From the melodies to the deepest growl, every word has an expressed meaning. Singing is not his only talent as he produces artwork through many mediums, including the Bumrush logos. Tommy is prejudiced against sleeves.
Kenneth-Guitarist- To this self-taught musician, the guitar is used as a tool to express emotion and better the listeners experience. Kenneths quest for unattainable perfection is never ending as he draws his inspiration from a wide range of influences. In his world, it is all about the music. Better known as Cooter, he does not get along well with stairs.
Jim-Bassist- Full of energy both physically and musically, Jim explodes onto the stage. From the audience, it appears that playing a bass is as natural as taking a breath for this talented artist. He gives a truly invigorating performance that leaves the crowd screaming for more. His talents extend far past the realm of a bass, as he started out playing the guitar. He is known to fiddle on many instruments including, but not limited to, drums, banjo and piano. For a good time call
John-Drummer- A seasoned musician who got his start as a member of the drum line in both high school and at Troy State University, John shows his nine piece drum kit no mercy. Dont let his quiet demeanor fool you; he is a showman from the second he takes the stage. Sitting on his drum throne, he feels at home amongst the screams from the crowd. The dynamic of both drums and bass is made stronger since these two are brothers (in the literal sense). Crack Kills!!!
Bumrush has played with many artists over several years including but not limited to Deconstruct, PSG, Element 55, WovenOverTone, Falling at Will, and Hybrid L.
Venues played include J-Krash (Panama City Beach, Fl.), The Featured Players Theatre (Dothan, Al.), and in Tallahassee Florida Bumrush has played Floyds, Big Daddys and The Beta Bar. There have been many birthday parties and wedding receptions played too. If you have a ditch with electricity, Bumrush will play there.
There are no off-the-chin performances or unoriginal repertoires. Each member brings individual talent to the table combining self-belief and faith in each other, evolving into one hard driven sermon of logic. Bumrush plays no covers!
