"Moonstruck CD review"

"The album opens well with a catchy track. There's a solid backing guitar riff and the voice of Neil Gall, the lead singer, comes through nicely over the instrumentation. Right off the bat, Gall's voice is enjoyable, with a hoarse and scratchy quality..."

"...'These Days' starts out slow, dwelling on themes of pain and addiction. Then, at about the three minute mark, the song kicks up the sound level and Gall seems to lose himself in the lyrics, his voice strained and raw, pushing forward through an affected, satisfying conclusion."

"...'Shut Up' starts off slow, depressing, pained and builds into anger, frustration, a certain seething, underlying emotion. This is perhaps the album's strongest track, making perfect use of Gall's voice, backing it up with solid, complimentary and varied instrumentation and showcasing some compelling lyrics." - Faster than the World - a daily magazine

""Premonition" song review"

"This song has killer hooks, a great idea "car crash premonition" as the overall sentiment of a very well written story type lyric."

"A passionate vocal and musical delivery." - Taxi

Bio

Burden of Proof is a three-piece indie alternative rock band based out of Los Angeles, California. In 2001 the band formed in Kalamazoo, Michigan and relocated to Los Angeles two years later. Since then they have performed in countless venues throughout the US, including The House of Blues, The Viper Room and The Roxy.

Their sound is described as bipolar rock with fast to slow and loud to quiet progressions that are dynamic and emotional. Themed lyrics about pain, depression and addiction are intertwined with multiple part harmonies. Song ideas are derived from individual experiences and observations of their diverse surroundings.

Neil Gall fronts the band on vocals and guitar, Dan Cascio plays bass & keyboard and Nathan Gall (Neil's identical twin) plays drums and vocals. The band has recorded two LP's, three EP's & one Single throughout their career including Verge Of Sanity LP (2001), American Eyes EP (2003), Consumption EP (2005), Moonstruck LP (2007) and At Sunrise EP (2009). Revolution Now (Single) (2012) is the bands latest release and is available on iTunes.

The band spent most of 2009, 2010 and 2011 on the road consisting of both national and regional tours in support of their aforementioned records. Shows spanned across the country from San Diego to New York as well as Detroit to Houston and everywhere in between. The band plans on touring heavily throughout 2013.
