Formed in Winter 2007, Buried Among Us combines members of successful local acts Imperial Decree and Open Eyes Of Azrael to create a monster unlike the metalcore community has ever seen. Seeking to pick up where local Richmond legends like Cassius and Scarlet left off, Buried Among Us brings gives the increasingly stagnant scene a breath of fresh air with a unique mix of melody and mosh, blending ambience with sheer brutality, to form an incredible listening experience.
We are five best friends who are trying to live out our dream of playing music for the rest of our lives. We will do anything it takes, make whatever sacrifices necessary, and stop at nothing to make our dream a reality. We have all been in bands before that have met limited success, but with this band we are determined to make it as far as we can absolutely go.
Bands that have influenced us include: Converge, Dead Water Drowning, Scarlet, Cassius, Skylines, Ion Dissonance, Ligeia, Dead To Fall, Age Of Ruin, Bring Me The Horizon, I Killed The Prom Queen, etc.
