 Toronto, Ontario, CAN
BandRockAlternative

A fusion of hard rock, funk and alt-country makes Burning Candy one of the more unique sounds on the Toronto circuit. Hypnotic rhythms are mixed with passionate, experiential lyrics generating raw energy rock and roll - Trans Am Jams!!

Biography

Burning Candy have been together since the summer of 2008. Influences include Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Jam Bands, and 80's Hard Rock. Somehow, the band amalgamates these influences into a sound that you would normally hear coming out of a Trans Am in Scarborough, Ontario, circa 1984! Burning Candy recorded their debut EP in 2009 and are currently putting together a live album of some of their performances from Toronto venues, including The Velvet Underground, The Horseshoe, The Gladstone Hotel, The Opera House, The Hard Rock Cafe, and The Drake Underground. The band has an energetic live show with lead vocalist J.J. Doyle igniting the spark that turns the band into illuminated lunatics. If you want hard energetic rock and are not horrified by the sound of guitar solos, Burning Candy is for you!
