Born of brotherhood and friendship, Burning Down The Villager hails from a Nebraska village known more for football than fire.
Burning Down The Villager began with the voluminous riffing of brothers Grady and Will McGuire in 2010. From there, they added the cannon-like drum sounds of Vince Ruhl; and finally, the throbbing Orange driven bass of Matt Cornell.
Singularly, each member is simply loud. Together, they create a tube-driven assault of sound that will force the screws from your drywall.
However, it's not all noise. Burning Down The Villager combines riff-heavy grooves with melodic pleasure. At one point, you may find your face melted; but the next you will find your face reattached in such delicate fashion. It's as if each note were played by some battlefield nurse.
