Burning Through

Burning Through

BandRockAlternative

"If The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Bon Jovi, Jimmy Eat World, Steve Vai, & Coheed & Cambria were at a party with some guys from Richmond, VA and they all decided to take the stage together for a jam session, Burning Through would be the result."

Biography

Burning Through was formed when singer/guitarist Nick Tierney, bassist Alex Smith, drummer David Landrum & lead guitarist Patrick Verdi decided to quit their respective bands to form a straight-ahead modern rock group with two things in mind: impeccable song writing and uncompromising stage presence.

Their music possesses catchy lyrical hooks with amazing vocal harmonies, solid backbeats, infectious guitar riffs, and virtuoso guitar leads. The powerful vocals of Tierney and Verdi combined with the rock-solid rhythms created by Landrum and Smith produce what has become; "...a wave of sound and show that must be witnessed to be believed." The band's chemistry on stage is undeniable and the level of musicianship from band member to band member yields spectacular results night after night.

Gone For Good

Gone For Good

Verse I
Crawling on all fours
I can barely see
The brighter side of this
And all that I’ve endured
Are pushed so far away
It’s left me penniless

Bridge
But I’m finding a way out again
Ideas I thought were used are barely broken in
I’ve packed my suit case up
Start off and begin

Chorus
Cause I’m gone for good
I don’t feel the same
I don’t feel the same like it used to

Verse II
The nightmares that I keep
The times I lie awake
Restful sleep I need
Still if only you would stay
And take your holiday
To waste away with me

Bridge
Cause I’m calling out to you again
Thought that we could be more
Than just passing friends
You dug your knife so deep
Deep into my skin

Chorus

Interlude

Verse I
You’re standing there
In a crowd at a party
Lonely as ever could be
And I’m well aware
The ones that surround you
Are ships sinking into the sea

Bridge
To the sea, and you’re moving on
To the sea

Chorus
Yesterday’s come and gone
Still you can’t find your way back home
You’ve been building a life
Deep down inside
You’re finding the will to move on

Verse II
You’re laying there
Arms left unfolded
Sleeping so soundly you do
And I’m well aware
The sun rising slowly
This will be all over soon

Bridge
Over soon, and you’re moving on
Over soon, and now you’re gone

Chorus
Interlude

Pre-Chorus

You’re laying there
You’re standing there

On The Ground

Written By: Written by Burning Through

On The Ground

Verse I
I'm feeling desperate now
Washed out and tired
So worn down

Bridge
It's over now
I'm on the ground

Chorus I
When you say this
I can't believe you're serious
And I'll just watch you walk away

Verse II
You push and pull me down
Tattered and torn
I'm finding out

Bridge II
It's over now
I'm on the ground

Chorus II
When you say this
I can't believe you're serious
And I'll just watch you walk away
When you leave this
You seal the fate with one last kiss
And I'll just watch you walk away

Interlude

Chorus III
