Bio

burnPATTERN is really the result of a lifetime friendship and shared dream. Josh and Cory have been best friends since they were 2 years old and decided to start a band when they were in eighth grade. Since then they have been in 4 different bands over the years. As teenagers while others dreamed of cars and girls they dreamed of making a difference in the world through music. Finally in the Fall of 2009 they felt a call to really take things seriously they both resigned from their career jobs and decided to make music their main thing. With two other friends they recorded an independent ep entitled 'From The Back Room' shortly after it's release the four friends realized they had different musical aspirations and the other two left the band leaving Cory and Josh as a two piece band with a four piece album. They had a gig coming up that next week and so reluctantly Cory picked up his acoustic at their next practice. Somewhere in the middle of their first song they looked at each other in amazement, they loved the sound they had stumbled on. They had never planned on being an acoustic band but they found a sound that is much fuller and uniquely them than any they would have ever imagined. Their long-time friendship creates a very unified feeling to their music, when they play together they really play as one. They feel like they are supposed to write music that connects people to Christ be that through worship or just rock and roll. Influences include: Switchfoot, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, David Crowder Band, Third Eye Blind, Phil Wickham, U2, Damien Rice, and Underoath.
