"Burnride @ Pine Lanes"

When we heard that Burnride would be selling their new EP at the Pine Lanes Lounge, we knew that we couldn't miss this show.

Burnride opened the show, and
they were awesome. Tonia and I still can't believe that they don't have a huge following by now, they are extremely talented. They played our favorite song "The Devil's Got Your Back," so we were very happy with their set. They are always a pleasure to hear, and I'm always amazed at how professional they sound. I think this was the fifth time that I've seen them live, and I've never seen them have a bad night. They have a show coming up on October 1st (check out www.myspace.com/burnride for details), I urge you to go to the show and pick up a copy of their new EP "Take Me Home." - www.wordofmouthpa.com

"Take Me Home CD Review"

When I first saw Burnride, I was amazed by their talent. To put it simply, they rock. They are excellent musicians, and they write good songs. They are on a short list of local bands that I will drop everything to see live. Brian and Kevin, the two guitarists, are so good at playing really complicated and intricate music, and they make it look easy.

Their 6-song EP is titled “Take Me Home,” and it can be purchased for just $5 at any of their live shows. The first song on the EP is called “So Be It,” and I love the guitar solo in this song. Another great song is "Taste You,” which has a really cool guitar intro. The song “Last Reply” is angry and emotional, and I like the lyrics and vocals a lot. It's one of those songs that it feels really good to listen to it when you're in a bad mood. I think that the last song, "Breathe," is a song that really shows how the guys put all of their individual talents together to write really good rock songs. The beginning of the song really showcases Jamie's vocals, and the bass line, played by Dave, in the middle is awesome. And everyone knows that Bunner is an excellent drummer, and you can hear proof of that throughout the CD. - Traci Stravinsky (Word of Mouth PA)

Bio

Burnride is a band combining five different personalities with a range of many different musical influences. This combination of different musical approaches and styles has helped create a sound that is distinct to themselves, but pays homage to influences of the past. It places them directly in a position where they can be appreciated by all fans of hard rock, metal, and other forms of heavier music.

Formed in 2004, the band quickly became a name noticed to many around their area. Their energetic, attention grabbing performances force the audience to follow the band's every move during their captivating live sets. The band's diverse collection of original songs range from straight-forward, in your face rock such as "Addiction" and "1-2-4" to the flowing grooves of "Taste You" and "Hummer Queen," while captivating listeners with the unsettling distress of "Devil's Got Your Back." The indepth lyrics sung over ear friendly riffs and twin guitar work tear at the heart and mind of any aged fan. The material is real and takes you into the lives of any hungry individual who cannot indulge in what their fantasies crave. The sound they have and the solid stage performances they put on have created a solid fan base.

After taking some downtime for a few months, and playing only a handful of local shows, 2008 brings a refreshed and unstoppable path for Burnride. A new album will be recorded later this year, and the band will be looking to expand their fanbase as much as possible. Only time will tell where this band will go. Whether they end up making it big touring the US or end up with nothing in a gutter, Burnride will continue doing what they love until the end.
