Bio

Burn the Evidence, or B.T.E., is a British alternative-metal edge band from Worthing, formed in 2007. B.T.E. was founded when rhythm guitarist Mark Fox met lead guitarist Rob Erskine while working in a DIY store, and from their mutual tastes in heavy music and love of playing guitar they decided to form a band. With a few changes along the way, the band rested upon a stable and successful line-up with Mark and Rob being joined by Chris Sedlmayr on drums and Jason Batt on Bass. Their first of many local live appearances was in July 2008. 2009 saw a final line-up change, with Carl Toppin taking over Bass guitar duties.

This new addition has enabled the band to develop a great song writing and playing dynamic.
Initially, rehearsals were held in Mark's basement, however, they were soon moved to professional rehearsal studio Ivy Arch Studios located near to Worthing station. B.T.E.'s first songs included such well known crowd favourites as Take You Down, Come Undone, and Bullet-proof. With more and more songs being written and added to the set-list, they soon made their live debut and from then on the band have gained momentum, building up a strong fan base in the Worthing area, often drawing the largest crowd at their gigs, despite not being the headlining act.
Recent rewards to the band members hard work have included playing at Littlehamptons Pebbles on the Beach festival, the prize for coming first in the local battle of the bands, as well as being invited to play gigs in the more opportune cities of Brighton and Chichester.

To date, the band have independently released a live E.P. of their performance at Worthings 2008 Battle of the Bands, organised by Cravin' Tunes, of which they came 3rd. More notably, they finished recording their inceptive album This Troubled Road in November 2009.
