Burn the Radio

A Hard Rock Quartet emerging on the Toronto music scene with honest aspirations; Burn the Radio built their foundation in the summer 2010. Paolo Rizzo and Ronaldo Falasca, friends for over 10 years had been writing songs over time and decided to start up a new project together.

Towards the end of 2010 Burn the Radio sought out a hard hitting drummer through an ad in craigslist. After many poor auditions, Chris Nikolaidis joined the group with energy and passion complimenting the dual guitars provided by Paolo and Ronaldo. Shortly thereafter, Kevin Milne filled the shoes of the driving bass guitar. Kevin became the catalyst to the flame inducing the designated sound required for Burn the Radio.

The goal of the band is to create hard edged rock music, for people who want to hear rock music without compromise. Through distorted guitars, palpating bass lines, smash and crash drums, and gritty yet concise vocals, the band sets out to achieve this goal.

In late January of 2011, Burn the Radio played their first show to a sold out audience. They have already caught the interest of renowned record producer Ian Blurton and are in the process of recording a full length album.

Burn the Radio is quoted as describing their music as “Disposable music about disposable music”. Keep an eye out for Burn the Radio in summer 2011.
